Mission Statement
KASC believes that soccer is a beautiful game that should be fun. Our philosophy is that by creating a competitive environment within a family atmosphere the players can most fully develop as athletes and people. Our coaches provide players with not only technical and tactical soccer skills, as well as fitness training, but also, impart valuable life lessons that transcend the game of soccer. We aim to help the growth of these boys and girls into athletic, confident, and strong people so they can be highly successful in their lives.
Our goal is to teach the players the necessary soccer skills to further their game, while at the same time encouraging players to be creative. This is done within a comfortable environment where players learn to push themselves to be the best they can be and where passion for this great game is stoked. Our hope is to develop players who love the game of soccer and can continue to play throughout their youth and into high school, college, and beyond.
Our coaching staff provides our players with positive experiences. They remind players that soccer is a game and should always be put into perspective in their lives. The staff stresses the importance of being a good student and trying to excel to the best of their abilities in all aspects of their lives. KASC believes in giving athletes a place to feel at home where success can be achieved. Success, to us, means being and doing the best we can. If we achieve this, we can say, “we won”, regardless of what the scoreboard says.
The instruction we focus on at KASC involves SOCCER SKILLS more than anything. We believe that the best way to develop as a soccer player is through the teaching and repetition of basic soccer skills, under pressure. The progression during the mastering of their skills also involves an understanding of individual and team tactics to round out the main aspects of the game.
What you can expect from KASC is consistent, organized, and efficient training by a professional coach who will direct and coordinate practices and games. The coaching staff believes in teaching every aspect of the game, starting from the basics to the most advanced elements. To achieve our mission, unified with our beliefs and standards, we have the following goals:
* Provide serious soccer players with the best fields, coaching, teams and support structure to facilitate their development while also providing them positive soccer experiences that will last a lifetime;
* Provide exposure to college coaches and college opportunities;
* Compete at every age level for the State Championship for both boys and girls;
* Create an enjoyable and satisfying experience for all people involved; and
* Increase KASC Soccer’s influence and respect in the soccer community.
